Pakistani pacer Hasan Ali was recently signed up by Punjabi Legends for the inaugural T10 tournament to be held in Sharjah mid-December. In a press conference held at the Pearl Continental Hotel in Lahore by the franchise to unveil the Legends’ official jersey, the top-ranked ODI bowler shed light on how he expects the format to polish his all-round skills and his desire to get the wicket of the Indian skipper Virat Kohli .
I have developed this style for my fans after some hard work. There should be some entertainment for the people who come and watch cricket for a whole day.
I came in the side as an all-rounder but unfortunately I could not make the most of the opportunities I was provided. I ignored my batting for a while in between but my focus is back on batting again.
Playing in the T10 format will be helpful for me in the ODI and T20 formats. It will prove to be extremely effective in developing my death bowling skills, as, every batsman will be looking to slog.
I feel T10 and T20 are similar formats. The batsmen will hit the ball in the same manner and the bowlers will bowl like they do in the T20 format. It will only have ten overs less.
It mainly depends on the player how he carries himself. I am a firm believer that a bowler should play every format to keep himself in the rhythm.
He a very good player, for sure. I have bowled at him only once. It was in the first Champions Trophy match. I couldn’t bowl to him in the final as he had gotten out early. Every bowler wishes to get wickets of the top batsmen. Same is the case with me - I want to get his wicket whenever he faces me.
