There has been lot of cricket in 2017, the Cricingif team selects their best ODI bowler.
The 23-year-old who could easily be handed player of the year award - Hasan Ali. He rewrote record books by becoming fastest Pakistani to first 50 wickets, bagged player of the tournament award for his red-hot form in the ICC Champions Trophy, and changed the way Pakistan bowled in the middle-overs. With a searing strike rate of 20, Hasan picked up 45 wickets in 18 matches.
No one is more worthy of the title this year than the rockstar from Gujranwala, Hasan Ali. From being a potential fast bowling prospect last year to being the ICC No.1 bowler this year, Hasan Ali has come a long way. He single-handedly changed Pakistan’s fortune in the Champions Trophy; no one gave Pakistan a chance after their disastrous start to the campaign, it was this man who paved the way to glory. May the force always be with Hasan Ali.
Two batsmen have picked more than 40 wickets this year. Hasan Ali with 45 wickets and Rashid Khan with 43 wickets, both are outstanding bowlers in their own right. But for me the best ODI bowler has to be Hasan Ali. To understand how important Hasan Ali was we should look at this his 10 over figures which read as 2.95 wickets for 50.3 runs; the average Pakistani bowler in 2017 would conceded 50.3 runs but pick just 1.36 wickets in their 10 overs. That’s the impact Hasan Ali had.
Hasan Ali, Not much of a competition here, the leading wicket-taker in ODIs was instrumental in Pakistan’s success in ICC Champions Trophy 2017 with 13 wickets in the competition.
