Best Test Bowler of the Year

There has been lot of cricket in 2017, the Cricingif team selects their best Test bowler.

Nathan Lyon. Not only because he has taken most wickets this year in the format than anyone else. But he mastered bowling overseas. 41 of his 67 wickets came in away Tests – the most he had in a year – and they cost Australia only 19 runs per dismissal. He announced himself with an 8-fer against India at Bangalore and followed it up with 22 wickets at an incredible average of 14 against Bangladesh in a two-match Test series at latter’s home.

Erm, I’d say Nathan Lyon. He is the highest wicket-taker of the year.He was brutal against India and Bangladesh away, and already has 17 wickets in the ongoing Ashes. You do know Moeen Ali is his recent bunny, right?

Nathan Lyon, he is the ideal 4th bowler in this Australian set up. In a 4 man bowling attack the opposition looks to attack the weakest link, which can easily be Nathan Lyon. But he has ensured that he makes run scoring hard and is quick to pounce on any mistake the batsmen make against him.

Nathan Lyon: M 11 - Wickets 63 – BBI 8/50 – Avg 23.55 – 5fer 5

With 17 wickets in Ashes, and 43 wickets in Asia against India and Bangladesh, Nathan Lyon has been tremendous for the Aussies throughout the year.
