Boom, Stokes finishes things in characteristic style. England go 2-0 up with two ODIs to go in the series. England have coasted to victory in a shortened ODI in Pallekele to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. The fact that we got any play at all today was down to the tireless work of the groundstaff, who had to fight against the weather for hours until finally the skies cleared. Sri Lanka got off to an incredible start as Niroshan Dickwella and Sadeera Samarawickrama laid the platform for a huge score. The hosts couldn't capitalise, however, as Adil Rashid (4/36) showed all his variations in a classy bowling spell to strangle the middle order. Chasing a total that always seemed under-par the tourists never looked like slipping up, as their skipper Eoin Morgan compiled a composed half century for the second match in succession. That means England can't lose the series and Sri Lanka will need a win on Saturday in the Fourth ODI to keep things alive. Join us then.
