26.6 - D D Silva to E Morgan

Off break back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, well timed in the air under control past deep mid wicket for 4 runs. Morgan pounces on one slightly back of a length as the clouds begin to burst. The grounstaff leap into action to try and cover the playing area. As it stands England are comfortably ahead of the DLS par score, but let's hope this isn't the end of the action for today. Sri Lanka will be really regretting that no-ball from a few overs ago, that could have really changed the complexion of the match. That's all for today I'm afraid, it has absolutely hammered down since the players went off and there is no chance of any further play. England win the match comfortably via DLS and wrap up the series, 3-0 up with one match left to play in Colombo on Tuesday. This was probably Sri Lanka's best performance of the series so far, but they weren't able to capitalise on key moments to really drive home the advantage. It was probably best summed up when Joe Root was caught off a full toss but there weren't enough fielders inside the circle, so it was a no-ball instead of a wicket. The tourists will be delighted with another series win under their belts in alien conditions thanks to a solid team performance today. Eoin Morgan batted with real intelligence at the end, after the spin duo of Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid had skilfully strangled the hosts in the first innings. We'll be back on Tuesday for the conclusion of this ODI series.
