Hammered away through the legside and it's a no ball so that will be the match. Ben Foakes and Tom Curran guide England to victory but Ireland were in this game for a long time and can be proud of their efforts. They will rue the moment when they could have reviewed the Foakes LBW decision but decided against it, although England could still have got over the line. An excellent day's cricket in Malahide and a day that began with an outfield too wet for cricket ends with the ground bathed in sunshine.

A simple chance goes down in the deep. It might have been too little too late but still the debutant will be disappointed with that effort.

That was asking to be hit and Curran gave it the treatment, the ball landing just inside the rope.
