119.5 - R Ashwin to J Hazlewood

Off break half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, outside edge to second slip, by Rahul. There it is, India win and Ashwin grabs the final wicket. KL Rahul snaffles a sharp chance to end the stubborn tenth wicket stand. Nathan Lyon is down on his haunches at the non-striker's end, spare a thought for him as the tourists celebrate wildly. Unbelievable scenes at the Adelaide Oval. Five days of drama and excitement have ended in an historic Indian victory in Adelaide. It's been an incredible Test match, full of hard-fought battles, skilful cricket and incredible action. The tourists came into today big favourites, but Australia's lower order showed fantastic application to push them close. Cheteshwar Pujara is the hero for India, his batting proved to be the difference between the two sides in the end with a steadfast display of concentration and discipline across both innings. Virat Kohli will be proud of his men for holding their nerve, they were involved in a couple of close Test matches in England recently that they couldn't quite get over the line in. Tim Paine should also be proud of his side though, many teams would have folded under pressure today but they can hold their heads high after playing their part in a wonderful match. It's been a great start to the series and there are three matches to come, the next of which is in Perth and starts on Friday.
