THE ASHES 2019
RR vs KXIP, Match 4, Indian T20 League 2019, 25 March 2019
KXIP won by 14 runs
BALL BY BALL
Kings XI Punjab
Ov 20: W W 1 0 4 1 | 6 Runs, 2 Wkts
The Kings XI take it. That was an action packed game of T20. Rajasthan were cruising at the halfway point of the chase, but it was a brilliant comeback from Punjab with the ball. A lot will be talked about the dismissal of Jos Buttler, which definitely played a huge part in the outcome. He was going amazingly well, before Ravi Ashwin got him with a Mankad run out. Aside from the controversy, Kings XI bowled brilliantly well at the death, and the batting was brainless from the Royals. Earlier on, Chris Gayle showed his class with a brutal 79, which set up the game for the visitors nicely, and it proved to be enough. The IPL will continue tomorrow, and if it carries on like today, you cannot miss it.
19.6 - A Rajpoot to D Kulkarni
Slower ball back of a length, outside off stump backing away driving, to long on for 1 run, fielded by Rahul.
A crunching cover drive finds the gap, but those four runs won't be enough for the Royals.

Half volley, off stump on the front foot driving, well timed past deep extra cover for 4 runs.

Another one goes. Rajasthan folding. Top delivery from Rajpoot, right in the blockhole, and Gowtham lobs it up to mid off off the toe end. A simple take for Shami, made to look very hard. Had to juggle it before hanging on.
19.2 - A Rajpoot to K Gowtham
Yorker, off stump driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to mid off, by Shami.
Nasty collision between bowler and keeper here, but another wicket for Kings XI. A fierce bouncer from Rajpoot, which cramps Unadkat for room. He flaps at the ball, it spoons high off the bat, and both Rajpoot and Pooran go for the catch. The bowler hangs on, but crashes into the keeper.
19.1 - A Rajpoot to J Unadkat
Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, Spliced in the air uncontrolled to short leg, by Rajpoot.

It is all falling apart from Rajasthan. Archer gets beaten by a superb yorker from Shami, then wants to sneak through for a bye. Gowtham is unsure at the other end, and both batsmen end up just stood next to each other in the middle of the pitch. Pooran misses his throw after collecting, but Shami has time to gather, and run up to the stumps to end things for Archer.
