Kohli seals it with a flourish. India have beaten Sri Lanka by 7 wickets in Indore to go 1-0 up in the series. The victory was set up by their bowlers who were outstanding in the first innings. Kuldeep Yadav got the ball to turn appreciably in both directions to bamboozle the tourists while Navdeep Saini generated extreme pace to ruffle some feathers. Sri Lanka's 142/9 never looked like it would be enough and KL Rahul proved it with a fluent 45 in response. The hosts lost a couple of wickets before captain Virat Kohli finished things off with a rapid unbeaten 30 to send the crowd wild.

17.3 - L Kumara to V Kohli

Thunderous stroke! Gets the job done by a majestic six over midwicket and finishes it off in style! Commanding win from the hosts.

17.2 - L Kumara to R Pant

Rising delivery speared across off, he rocks back and tugs it away insolently.
1
Kumara bags a consolation wicket with a vicious bouncer. Iyer went at it hard and picked out the man in the deep. Sri Lanka keep fighting hard but this match is only heading one way.

17.1 - L Kumara to S Iyer

Zips it in quicker, aimed at his bonce and he throws his bat at it, Shanaka swallows it up without having to move an inch. He has bowled with good steam today like he did in Karachi

16.6 - L Malinga to S Iyer

A touch shorter, took the pace off the ball, Iyer waited and then bunted it away to midwicket for a run.

16.5 - L Malinga to V Kohli

Fuller length, on the pads, tucked away nicely towards the leg side, just waltzing their way to a clinical victory
1

16.4 - L Malinga to V Kohli

Fuller length, just outside off, he crunches it through midwicket for a couple. Just eight runs away from a comprehensive boundary
2
That is Kohli at his best. This is a shot that will come in very useful for him in Australia where there is lots of pace and bounce. All the way for six to cause delirium in the stands.

16.3 - L Malinga to V Kohli

Banged in short, middle stump line and he hammers a pull shot with tremendous control, flat-six.
6

16.2 - L Malinga to V Kohli

Dug in short around the line off, pulled away with disdain, excellent fielding in the deep by Gunathilaka, saved a couple
2
Easy pickings, Malinga gets his variation slightly wrong and his opposite number ruthlessly takes advantage.

16.1 - L Malinga to V Kohli

It's raining boundaries! Slower ball picked early and glanced away to fine leg boundary. India want to wrap this up quickly as Kohli does what he does best, finds the gap and evades the fielders
