England were denied a chance of romping to a series sweep over Pakistan after persistent rain forced play to be called off rendering a no-result in the third ODI.

England dominated the proceedings, having Pakistan tottering at 145 for the loss of eight wickets in 37.4 overs before bad weather interrupted the action.

Leg-spinner Sarah Glenn was the star for England as she claimed four wickets for 18 runs in eight overs.

Contrary to the preceding two games, Pakistan's batting had gotten off to a strong start with Nahida Khan and Javeria Khan establishing a solid stand for the first wicket.

The two added 96 runs in 20.1 overs with Nahida playing the role of the aggressor as she hit eight boundaries in her 59-ball 55.

Having punished the England seamers, the Pakistan batters soon ran into trouble in the face of tight bowling from Sarah and fellow spinner Sophie Ecclestone.

Javeria was the first to perish off Sarah for a patient 65-ball 37 and Javeria soon followed her back to the pavilion.

The collapse further prolonged as skipper Bismah Maroof and Kaynat Hafeez were also dismissed by the spin duo.

Later, Anya Shrubsole returned to snaffle three quick wickets to obliterate any chances of a recovery from the lower-order.

Umaima Sohail was the only player to reach double figures besides the openers as she crawled to an unbeaten 27 off 50 deliveries.

England captain Heather Knight grabbed the player of the series award for her aggregate of 127 runs in the last two matches.
