Khyber Pakhtunkhwa won by 8 wickets

Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman struck sparkling half-centuries to fashion an eight-wicket victory for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa against a hapless Sindh line-up in the second semi-final.

Rizwan and Fakhar added 113 runs in quick time for the first wicket, allowing KP to come within touching distance of the paltry 143-run target.

The duo's blistering partnership was decorated with a spate of regular boundaries as Sindh's bowlers were rendered unsuccessful in their efforts to find an opening.

Fakhar wonderfully took on the role of the aggressor in the stand as he blasted two sixes and eight fours in his valiant contribution of 57 from 29 deliveries.

Rizwan, on the other hand, batted fluently in his boundary-laden stay at the crease, smacking 11 fours en route his 50-ball 67.

After Rizwan and Fakhar departed, Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik comfortably fulfilled the job for KP as they coasted to the target with 31 balls to spare.

Earlier in the first innings, Sindh were constantly beset by breakthroughs provided by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's skilled bowling arsenal.

As has been the pattern over the course of the tournament, Shaheen Afridi picked up a wicket in his first over when he removed the dangerous Sharjeel Khan with a pearler of a delivery that jagged away to rattle the off-stump.

In the third over, Azam Khan was run-out without facing a ball leaving Sindh in tatters at a perilous 10-3. While Khurram Manzoor fought hard with a defiant half-century, he rarely found resistance from the other end, barring a brief exhibition of power-hitting from Danish Aziz.

Sindh lost their final five wickets for just 15 runs as they failed to bat out their quota of 20 overs and managed 142 on the board.
