Chanderpaul goes Kolpak

Former West Indian batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul has signed a one-year-long Kolpak deal with Lancashire.

The 42-year-old batsman retired from the international cricket in 2016. He first featured for the Windies during a Test against England at Georgetown in March 1994.

The left-hand batsman played 454 international matches in a career spanning 22 years. He hit 11,867 Test runs at 51.37 per innings and 8,778 ODI runs at an average of 42.

In 22 T20Is, Chanderpaul scored 343 runs at a strike rate of 99.
