Scorchers’ Jhye Richardson and Tim Bresnan took three wickets apiece, conceding 30 and 40 runs respectively. Richardson was awarded Man-of-the-Match.
Scorchers went into the contest without the services of Shaun Marsh, who is with the Australian side for the three ODIs against New Zealand starting January 30, but Michael Klinger’s 49-ball 71 made up for his absence.
Scorchers, hosts of the final, finished the match with 25 balls to spare with nine wickets in hands.
