Bowlers, Shane Watson helped Quetta thump Lahore by nine wickets in the 5th match of the Pakistan Super League. After being put in to bat first by Quetta, Qalandars were off to a flying start, McCullum and Narine hammered Quetta bowlers. But once the two were dismissed, Lahore collapsed and their approach towards batting didn’t change at all.
Cameron Delport was a classic case in this – he smashed two consecutive sixes of Hassan Khan but couldn’t resist going over the top. He was caught at deep mid-wicket. By the end of 20 overs, Qalandars only managed to score 119.
Mohammad Nawaz ended with the figures of 4-4-2 whereas paceman Jofra Archer picked three wickets.
Quetta’s run chase was smooth as Shane Watson and Asad Shafiq hammered Lahore bowlers with a lot of ease. Watson tonked five fours and five maximums and was dismissed on 66 off 42 balls. Asad Shafiq started slowly but he gathered momentum when took Yasir Shah to the cleaners.
Nawaz was declared man of the match for his splendid bowling figures.
