Rassie van der Dussen, Tim Southee and Saad Bin Zafar saw Vancouver Knights ease past Montreal Tigers in the 8th match of the Global T20 Canada League.
Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Vancouver Knights posted a total of 166. Openers Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis were dismissed early in the peace but van der Dussen smashed 83 off 56 balls including six fours and five maximums which saw his side posting a decent total of 166.
Montreal Tigers, in reply, couldn’t keep going as they were losing wickets at regular intervals. Tim Southee nipped out Dwayne Smith and Narine at the top of the order whilst Saad Bin Zafar dismissed George Worker, Sikandar Raza and Najibullah Zadran to deny the opposition of any chances of making it over the line.
Moises Henriques and George Worker were the two batsmen who shared a 64-run stand whereas there weren’t any other significant partnerships from the other batsmen.
Rassie van der Dussen was declared man of the match for his stellar performance with the bat.
