West Indies B Team continued their golden run in the Global T20 Canada League as they registered a comfortable nine wicket win over Winnipeg Hawks – which is also their third consecutive win of the tournament which sees them on the top of the table.
Winnipeg Hawks, after being put in to bat first, scored 151 from 20 overs with major contributions coming from Lendl Simmons at the top of the order. Simmons scored 45 off 40 balls comprising of three boundaries and three maximums. Obed McCoy picked up three wickets of Bravo, Webster and Emrit albeit going for almost 10 runs per over.
In reply, CWI B team lost Rutherford who was pinned a full, straight ball from Edwards but the duo of Greaves and King scored the rest of the runs without losing their wickets.
JP Greaves scored 89 off 58 balls comprising of 13 boundaries and two maximums whereas Brandon King notched up 44 off 43 balls.
Justin Greaves was declared man of the match for his stellar show with the bat.
