Vancouver Knights outfoxed the Toronto Nationals to finish top of the table, meanwhile knocking the Nationals out of the race.
After choosing to field first, the Knights bowled out the Nationals for just 103. Only three Nationals’ batsmen could enter the double figures, with Steve Smith top-scoring with 35 and skipper Daren Sammy adding 29 down the order. For Vancouver, Andre Russell and Fawad Ahmed shared three wickets each.
In reply, the Knights openers blazed away with the chase with Chadwick Walton smashing a fifty and staying till the end. Vancouver reached home in 12.3 overs with Walton top-scoring with 54*.
Andre Russell was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant spell of 3 for 17.
Vancouver have finished top of the table and will face second positioned CWI B Team in the first qualifier for a direct berth in the final.
