Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi has pulled out of 2018 season of Caribbean Premier League due a knee problem sustained since Pakistan Super League earlier this year. Afridi will undergo rehabilitation to nurse the injury to regain full fitness.
Afridi announced the decision through a tweet, expressing his disappointment at missing out on the “biggest party in sport” and hoped that Imad Wasim will be an able replacement.
Afridi has previously represented St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in 2015, during the third season of CPL.
Jamaica have announced Australian Adam Zampa as replacement for Afridi.
