The Pakistan Cricket Board has shortlisted 18 players who will participate in the preparatory camp for Asia Cup starting next month. The camp will commence from September 3-10 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. The shortlisted players will undergo fitness tests on September 3 which will further determine their chances of participating in the tournament.
In order to improve players' fitness levels, PCB had initially arranged a retreat camp activity for 26 players which was scheduled to take place at Abbottabad from August 27 to 31.
Asia Cup will kick-off from September 15 in the UAE while Pakistan will be starting their campaign on September 16 against the winner of Asia Cup qualifiers.
Pakistan will be facing arch-rivals India on September 19.
