Hazratullah Zazai smashed the maiden ton of the Afghanistan Premier League as Kabul Zwanan soared past Nangarhar Leopards by seven wickets.
Put in to bat first, Nangarhar Leopards posted 188 courtesy Anton Devcich’s outstanding show with the bat. The left-hander smashed 94 off 58 balls (including seven fours and six maximums) as the rest of the batting couldn’t impress baring Najeeb Tarakai’s 38-ball 42.
Hashmatullah Shahidi was stumped of Javed Ahmadi’s bowling while Andre Russell went back to the pavilion without troubling the scorers as Rashid Khan got the better of West Indian power hitter by attacking the stumps. Ben Cutting delivered few blows towards the end but mainly the show was dominated by Devcich.
In reply, Hazratullah Zazai made full use of his attacking instincts as he hammered Leopards' bowlers to all parts of the ground. Zazai scored 124 off just 55 balls which included twelve boundaries and nine maximums at a strike rate of 225. Colin Ingram was dismissed early in the piece for just one run while Zazai was caught on the boundary off Ben Cutting as the damage had been done.
Hazratullah Zazai was declared man of the match for his brutal innings.
