Shadab Khan was off to a flying start in international cricket with the record Twenty20 International figures of 3 for 7 in the first of the four-T20I series against the West Indies on Sunday.
He picked first wicket on his second ball with a venomous googly. His first eight balls accounted for three wickets as the Windies slumped to 49 for 6 in 11 overs. The 18-year-old wrist-spinner leaked runs at 1.75 per over, which is the most economical for a debutant in T20I.
The cricket fraternity took to Twitter to commend Shadab’s sensational spell.
Not a bad debut , is it, from young Shadab Khan. 3-7 in 4 overs in a T20 game!— Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) March 26, 2017
