Australian media criticise Kohli

Australian media came down heavily on Indian skipper Virat Kohli and have labeled him "classless" and “childish” after his comments at the post-match press conference at the end of an intensely fought Test series.

Earlier Kohli said in his closing press conference that he considered Australians players as competitive on the field and had good friendly terms with many players but now I would never think of the calling them as friends ever again.

In response to Kohli’s statement, Sydney's Daily Telegraph called Kohli an "egomaniac" while Australian writer Peter Lalor wrote, "If there were any doubts about the poor spirit between the Indian and Australian sides it was confirmed after the series when the home side shunned a suggestion the two sides drink together."

Herald Sun added more fuel in the debate by writing that all Virat Kohli had to do was to say sorry as Steve Smith did.

It is pertinent to mention that Border Gavaskar Trophy Kohli has been in the news for number of controversies and with the Indian Premier League lined up where Kohli may share the dressing with number of Australian players so these controversies may possibly not end up anytime soon.
