Former Pakistan captain Sana Mir has bagged the top rank in ICC Women’s ODI Bowler Rankings with her impressive performances with the ball in the ODI series against Australia.
She managed to take 24 wickets in 9 matches in the ICC Women’s Championship. In the recently concluded 3-match ODI series against Australia, she took a total of 7 wickets.
Prior to Sana Mir’s rise to no.1 in the rankings, Australia’s Jess Jonassen was the former topper in the ICC list.
Alhamdolillah ! Thanks to the Almighty for giving me strength to keep going.

Thanks to my parents, family, friends & mentor for unconditional love.
This is a team effort of support staff and players who have helped me excel. I Thank you ALL from the bottom of my heart ????????? https://t.co/2KTxKeHcdO
Earlier this year, the ICC decided to award international status to all T20 matches played between member countries, which resulted in the bifurcation of earlier combined T20/ODI rankings. The system moves away from the combined rankings in place earlier and there is now a separate ICC Women’s ODI Team Rankings table with 10 teams, in line with the men’s rankings, which are separate for each format.
Tributes poured in from around the as Mir became the first Pakistan women’s player to achieve the feat.
Congratulations @mir_sana05 on reaching the top of #ICCrankings. May you get many more successes. More power to you! ?? @ICC pic.twitter.com/C3LWbIP4n1
