Karachi Kings named Shahid Afridi as their new president through a Facebook post in the late hours of Friday. The former Pakistan captain had parted ways with his former franchise Peshawar Zalmi last month.
In a shocking tweet on March 25, Afridi announced to end his service as president and player of Peshawar Zalmi Team due to personal reasons. He had also said that it was time that he joined another team.
Afridi captained Peshawar Zalmi to Play Offs during the first edition of the PSL. He relinquished the post on October 19, during the draft for the second edition of the five-team tournament.
