Pakistan have opted for Imad Wasim and Mohammad Hafeez in the 15-member for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand that follows the ongoing T20I series.

Both all-rounders were the only players from Pakistan's preliminary squad that failed to make to the final squad for the Asia Cup.

Paceman Mohammad Amir, who was left out for the Tests and T20Is against Australia following his poor run in Asia Cup, is a notable exclusion from the squad.

Imad Wasim made a strong comeback to the side as he was declared player of the match in the first two T20Is against Australia.

The 38-year-old Hafeez, who replaces Shan Masood, has also be in runs, notching up a hundred on return to Test cricket against Australia recently.

Imad Wasim was dropped from the Asia Cup squad after failing to clear multiple fitness tests. Hafeez, according to Inzamam ul Haq, was axed from the 16-member squad for Asia Cup because the board wished to try other options ahead of the 2019 World Cup.

The first two matches of the three-match ODI series will be played in Abu Dhabi on November 7 and 9 with the last match at Dubai on November 11.
