Wasim Akram joins Karachi Kings as president

Former Pakistan captain and legendary pace bowler Wasim Akram has joined Karachi Kings as President, the franchise announced on Wednesday.

The 52-year-old has served as a mentor for Islamabad United in the first two seasons before joining Multan Sultans as Director in the third edition.

On Tuesday, Karachi Kings decided against retaining Shahid Afridi ahead of the PSL draft to take place on November 20.

The fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League commences on February 14 in the UAE.
