A stunning cameo by Asif Ali propelled the Cape Town Blitz to successive wins as they staged a fantastic comeback against Durban Heat. The aggressive middle-order batsman smashed five sixes and seven fours to help his team reach the target with five balls to spare.
The visitors were limited to 83/5 at one stage before Asif Ali went berserk and smashes it to all parts of the park. Anrich Nortje was the other notable performer, who bagged a four-for which restricted the home side to 157. He picked up the crucial wickets of Van Wyk for 26, SJ Erwee and Temba Bavuma without troubling the scorers and Hashim Amla for 15.
Albie Morkel scored a brisk 45 from mere 25 deliveries. He was ably supported by Zondo, who remained unbeaten on 49 off 42 deliveries. Their partnership of 71 runs aided Durban Heat to reach what looked like defendable total of 157 runs.
