Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar registered half-centuries as Bangladesh stormed to an eight-wicket victory against West Indies in the third and final ODI to win the series 2-1.

Tamim remained unbeaten on 81 while Soumya Sarkar struck 80 to guide Bangladesh to 202-2 in 38.3 overs after Mehidy Hasan's career best 4-29 aided the home side to restrict the visitors to 198-8 in 50 overs.

PCB to host 2020 Asia Cup

The Pakistan Cricket Board will host the next Asia Cup for the first time in over a decade. The venue of the event is still undecided, but it is likely to be held in the UAE, given the bilateral relations between Indian and Pakistan.

The tournament will switch back to T20 format and is scheduled to be played in September 2020 – ahead of the World T20 in Australia.

Philander ruled out of Boxing Day Test against Pakistan

South Africa seamer Vernon Philander will miss the first Boxing Day Test against Pakistan due to a hairline fracture on his right thumb.

The 33-year old only returned to action following rehabilitation for a recurring ankle injury, which he suffered during South Africa's tour of Sri Lanka in July. He recently represented Durban Heat in seven of their Mzansi Super League matches.

Giles replaces Strauss as England cricket director

Former left-arm spinner England spinner Ashley Giles has been appointed England’s managing director. The 45-year old will leave his post as sports director at Warwickshire County Cricket Club and will replace Andrew Strauss, who stepped down from the role in October.

RIP, Sharmeen Khan

Founding member of Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team Sharmeen Khan passed away in Lahore after a persistent battle with pneumonia.

The 46-year old represented Pakistan in two Tests and 26 one-day internationals.

Two men were arrested in Durban during the Mzansi Super League (MSL) match between Durban Heat and Jozi Stars over their involvement in a betting activity. They were, however, released on bail after being charged with trespassing.

PCB announces PSL 4 schedule

Abu Dhabi is set to host four games as Pakistan Cricket Board announced the schedule for Pakistan Super League 2019.

Defending champions Islamabad United will face Lahore Qalandars in the opening fixture on February 14.

The tournament will span across Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi in the UAE leg before the teams move to Pakistan for the remaining eight games.

Harbhajan broke down in tears when apologising for 'monkeygate' – Symonds

Andrew Symonds has revealed that Harbhajan Singh was emotional and apologised to him when they were playing together for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League in 2011.

The former India off-spinner racially abused Australia’s Andrew Symonds during the 2007-08 "Monkeygate" scandal. Harbhajan, however, took to Twitter to distance himself from the incident.
