The 10th match of the Champions Trophy was played between the World Cup champions Australia and the Champions Trophy runners-up England on Saturday at Edgbaston. It was a must win game for Australia as a win would have given them a place in the semi-finals. Australia lost by 40 runs on DLS method. The World Champions failed to qualify for the semi-finals. England and Bangladesh are the two teams from Group A to have qualified.

Best Batsman- Ben Stokes, 102* off 109

Ben Stokes scored his 3rd ODI century in style. His 159 run partnership with Captain Eoin Morgan proved to be a match winning one. Stokes hit strokes all over the ground, ensuring that England were ahead on DLS par score at all times. Stokes magical hundred comprised of 13 fours and 3 sixes. He remained not out on 102.

Best Bowler- Mark Wood, 4 for 33

Mark Wood was the pick of the bowlers for England. In his first spell he got rid of the destructive David Warner for 21. Then he struck on the first bowl of his 2nd spell to get the wicket of the dangerous captain Steve Smith who was batting on 56. He broke the momentum of the Australian innings every time he took a wicket. Mark Wood ended with a career best bowling figures of four for 33. His other two wickets were of Glenn Maxwell and Adam Zampa.
