Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed was fined 20 percent and his players were fined 10 percent of the match fee for maintaining a slow over rate in their match against Sri Lanka on Monday.
Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka in a nail-biting affair by three wickets to qualify for the semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy. They take on the hosts England at Cardiff, the same venue they defeated Sri Lanka, on Wednesday.
Pakistan were found one over short.
As per the ICC rules, the team is fined 10 percent for every over they fall short with the captain paying the double amount.
There will be no formal hearing as Sarfraz pleaded guilty to the offense.
