Sixth PSL team, formerly Multan Sultans, resold for $44.5 million

The Multan Consortium, led by Ali Khan Tareen, son of businessman and politician Jahangir Khan Tareen, won the franchise rights for the ‘Sixth Team’ of Pakistan Super League for $6.35 million per annum.

The rights have been awarded for a period of seven years according to a statement released by the PCB.

Bangladesh level T20 series against West Indies

Smith denied BPL participation

Bangladesh's Cricket Board barred former Steve Smith from the forthcoming Bangladesh Premier League following an objection raised by some franchises.

"The rule of the tournament is that if a franchise takes a replacement, his name should be in the list of initial players' draft. But Smith's name was not there," said BCB chief Nizamuddin Chowdhury.

Nasir Jamshed charged in UK with bribery offences

Banned former Pakistan cricketer Nasir Jamshed has been charged in Britain with bribery offences as part of an investigation into spot-fixing.

Jamshed and two British nationals – Yousaf Anwar and Mohammed Ijaz – were served with written summonses, charging them each with two counts of bribery, the National Crime Agency said.

UAE suspends three players following Twitter rant

The Emirates Cricket Board fined and suspended three players for critical comments they made on social media during the Emerging Teams Asia Cup earlier this month.

Rohan Mustafa, the UAE captain, as well as Ahmed Raza and Rameez Shahzad, the two longest-serving players in the national team, have been barred from playing international cricket for eight weeks.
