Ball-by-ball details & scorecard: Sydney Sixers v Perth Scorchers - Match 4 - Sydney
Steve O’Keefe’s three-wicket burst propelled Sydney Sixers to a 17-run win over arch-rivals Perth Scorchers.
The former Test spinner ripped through the Scorchers’ top order as Perth only managed 147 from their 20 overs.
After being set 165 for victory - thanks to Jordan Silk and Daniel Hughes half-centuries – O’Keefe rocked the Scorchers with his first two overs to have them on the brink at 3-9.
Hilton Cartwright (53) and Ashton Turner (49) steadied with a 99-run partnership but their fightback eventually collapsed.
After Turner was out lobbing a poor Sean Abbott delivery at backward point, the Scorchers lost four wickets for 28 runs.
O’Keefe was the undoubted star of the show, finishing with figures of 3-19.
Earlier, Silk (67*) and Hughes (62) resurrected the Sixers’ innings after the Scorchers had claimed early breakthroughs.
The pair put on 124 for the fourth wicket after Jason Behrendorff (2-28) had the Scorchers on top early when he removed Edwards (13) and Moises Henriques (2) with his first two overs.
