Ball-by-ball details & scorecard: Sydney Sixers v Hobart Hurricanes - Match 40 - Sydney
Josh Philippe fired Sydney Sixers to a thumping nine-wicket win over the Hobart Hurricanes to reinforce their Big Bash League credentials.
Philippe struck an unbeaten 86 off 49 balls as Sixers chased down the Hurricanes' impressive target of 173 in just 17.1 overs.
The Sixers were reeling at 1-6 after James Faulkner struck with just the fourth ball of the innings to remove Daniel Hughes.
However, Philippe and James Vince with 74 not out (off 50 balls) put on a game-turning partnership.
Josh Philippe has taken a liking to the bowling of Clive Rose.

Earlier, Matthew Wade sent another message to the Australian selectors with his fourth half-century of the tournament – 64 off 51 balls – which followed on from his 84 not out in the Hurricanes' 10-wicket away thumping of the Adelaide Strikers just two days earlier.
Another 50 for Matthew Wade at #BBL08! Given his form, surely everyone chose him in their fantasy side? https://t.co/OMoTxJXkHR#BBL08 | @SkyscannerAus pic.twitter.com/qk8OaRiXqG
