Scorecard & ball-by-ball: Pakistan Women vs Windies Women - 2nd ODI - ICC Academy, Dubai

Diana Baig and Sana Mir backed the brilliant batting display from Sidra Ameen (96) and Nida Dar (81) with seven wickets, as Pakistan bowled out the Windies for 206 to level the ODI series 1-1 with a 34-run win in the second ODI.

Baig ripped through the Windies top-order and returned figures of four for 34, while Mir finished with three for 21 to ensure the defence of the 241.

Diana got the vital breakthrough of West Indies mainstay Deandra Dottin (5) and bowled with impeccable control in her spell. Left-arm spinner Nashra Sandhu took two wickets for 38 runs in her 10 overs.

Natasha McLean fought a lone battle for the visitors with a 76-ball 82 that included two sixes and eight fours but it was too much a task. She added 62 for the last-wicket with Shamilia Connel who made 15 runs.

Pakistan took control of the match after Windies captain Stafanie Taylor fell for 48. Despite the last-wicket partnership, the Windies were never really in the chase after losing six wickets for 105 runs inside the first 30 overs.

Earlier, an enterprising 102-run partnership between Sidra and Nida propelled Pakistan to 240. Opener Sidra, who hit 14 fours on her way to 121-ball 96, missed out on a well-deserved hundred after she was run out while attempting a quick single.

Nida kept the momentum going after Sidra’s dismissal as she posted her fourth ODI fifty. The 32-year-old maintained almost a run-a-ball strike rate in her 86-ball innings that included seven fours and two sixes.

Sana Mir scored 21 off 30 balls with the help of two fours as Pakistan ended with what proved to be a match winning total.

For Windies, Shakera Selman took two wickets for 33 runs while Deandra Dottin claimed two for 55.

Sidra Ameen was declared player of the match for her brilliant knock at the top,

The third and final match of the ODI series will be played at the same venue on Monday, 11 February.
