While chasing a modest target of 144 runs, Sarfraz remained unbeaten on 52 off 36 balls, consisting of four boundaries and a six.
Qalandars had Gladiators on the floor after reducing them to 81-5 in the 13th over of the innings, but Sarfraz alongside Nawaz, formed an important partnership of 54 runs to keep their side in the contest.
Mohammad Nawaz hung in in with 19 off 18 balls to prevent a batting collapse.
Opening batsman Ahsan Ali was the notable performer for Gladiators at the top with a useful 40 off 29 balls.
Earlier, Qalandars posted 143-7 in their 20 overs, after Gladiators won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Skipper AB de Villiers top-scored with an unbeaten 45 runs off 40 balls, while Sohail Akhtar and David Wiese scored 29 and 20 runs respectively.
Young paceman Ghulam Mudassar impressed with the ball by conceding 21 runs in his four overs and snapped up which included the wickets of Sohail Akhtar, Salman Butt and Gauhar Ali.
Sarfraz was declared man of the match for his crucial knock.
Gladiators remain on top of the table with four wins and will play their next match against Karachi Kings on February 24.
