Sultans were penalized under Article 2.5 of the PSL Code of Conduct for Player and Player Support Personnel, which relates to minor over-rate offences.

Skipper Shoaib Malik and rest of his players were fined 10 per cent each of their match fee, a lenient penalty - this being Sultans' first such offence.
"If Multan Sultans commit another slow over-rate offence, then each of their playing members will be fined 20 per cent of their match fees," a statement from the PSL said.
