Islamabad United will be competing with the Karachi Kings in their 17th match of the 2019 Pakistan Super League.
The two teams faced off on February 23 in Sharjah, Islamabad had swept aside the Kings by seven wickets.
Islamabad managed to restrict Karachi at a below-par total of 143 before a Luke Ronchi-storm struck Sharjah and blew away the Kings' bowling attack. Ronc, in particular, has looked in immaculate touch throughout the tournament. He is the highest run-scorer for Islamabad, making 166 (average 41.50) with two fifties. His highest score is 67 not out that also came against the Karachi Kings. Islamabad's Faheem Ashraf was also quite brilliant with the ball in the game against the Kings, taking a three-wicket haul. The United will be keen to retain their winning combinations and bolster their chances of qualifying for the finals - it will depend on Mohammad Sami's fitness though.
Islamabad United's Probable Playing XI: Luke Ronchi, Rizwan Hussain, Cameron Delport/Chadwick Walton, Hussain Talat, Asif Ali, Wayne Parnell, Faheem Ashraf, Samit Patel, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Sami/Rumman Raees
Karachi Kings, on the contrary, will be immensely inspired by a thrilling win against the Quetta Gladiators courtesy a magnificent century from Colin Ingram that drove them home. Despite the morale-boosting win, Kings are still placed pretty low on the points table. Imad Wasim and co will need to up the ante both with the bat and the ball. Shuffling might be needed both at the top of the order as well as in the pace battery to change their approach.
Karachi Kings’ Probable XI: Colin Munro, Babar Azam, Colin Ingram, Liam Livingstone, Ben Dunk(wk), Imad Wasim(c), Sikandar Raza, Mohammad Amir, Umer Khan, Sohail Khan, Usman Khan Shinwari
