Sri Lanka suffered another blow in the ongoing Test series against India as a hamstring injury during the second match ruled Nuwan Pradeep out of the series.
After bowling four balls of his 18th over on day one, Pradeep limped off the field on the first day of the Colombo Test. Sri Lanka cricket manager Asanka Gurusinha later confirmed that the pacer had suffered a grade-one tear and he will need two weeks to recover from the injury.
Pradeep bagged a six-fer in the first Test at Galle that India had won comprehensively. In the same Test, Asela Gunaratne had injured his thumb while fielding in the slip cordon.
This is the second time in the Test series that Sri Lanka have been reduced to 10 men.
