Shadab Khan has been ruled out of the upcoming limited overs series against England after his tests revealed a virus which would require at least four weeks of treatment.
Yasir Shah has been named Shadab’s replacement for the England series which will be played between May 5-19.
“The Pakistan Cricket Board will now set-up Shadab’s appointment with specialists in England to help him fully recover before Pakistan’s ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 opener against the Windies on 31 May at Trent Bridge,” said PCB in a press release.
Mohammad Amir and Asif Ali have already been named additional players for the England series. All teams participating in the World Cup can make changes to their squad till May 23.
Pakistan will leave for the UK on April 23 and play three one-day matches against county sides before taking on England in the lone T20I and five-match ODI series.
