MS Dhoni hit 44* off 22 and claimed crucial stumpings to help Chennai Super Kings to victory in their top of the table clash with Delhi Capitals in the Match 50 of the season.
Middle-order batsman Suresh Raina hit 59 off 47 while Ravindra Jadeja smashed 25 off 10 to lift CSK to 179-4.
Jagadeesha Suchith finished with the figures of 2-28 on his first game of the season for Delhi.
Dhoni then stumped Shreyas Iyer just as he started flexing his arms on 44.
The Capitals, who were table-toppers at the start of the match, collapsed from 81-4 to 99 all out: an 80-run defeat.
"I watch the ball and hit the ball," was his simple explanation.
"I think by the 20th over you are almost ready and you swing at everything," he added.
Delhi were in the hunt whilst Iyer was at the crease but after he was stumped the dry pitch helped the spinners. Imran Tahir took four wickets and Jadeja three to skittle Delhi out in less than 17 overs.
Both teams have already qualified for the playoffs.
