Swashbuckling all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has worked on his action to garner desired dip and drift in Bangladesh when Australia visits the subcontinent nation for a Test series after 11 years.
"I've shortened my bowling stride a little bit to make sure that I've got that drop on the ball and that I'm getting the shape that I actually want," ESPNcricinfo quoted Maxwell say
"It's obviously one of my skills that I can bring to the side, and something that's going to help me try and nail down that number six position, having that extra string to my bow."
Maxwell is expected to retain his spot in the Australian Test side after a decent outing in India earlier this year. However, to strengthen his case, the all-rounder has made the necessary adjustments during a training camp in Darwin.
"I suppose coming into this tour, I'm hoping that I can show that I've put a lot of work into my bowling and I can get that opportunity."
