India will open their World Test Championship campaign against South Africa in October at the start of a packed schedule that will see them host series against five opponents in five months.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced five Tests, nine ODIs and 12 T20 games against five nations also including Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, West Indies and Australia.
