Batting legend Brian Lara was rushed to a hospital in Mumbai after complaining of chest pain, Indian media reports said on Tuesday.
The 50-year-old was taken to hospital after complains of discomfort during a promotional event, the Press Trust of India (PTI) news agency said quoting a source close to the player.
Lara was in Mumbai, working as an analyst for Star Sports, the official broadcasters of the ongoing cricket World Cup in England and Wales.
Lara took part in 131 Tests for West Indies, scoring 11953 runs at an average of almost 53.
He also holds the record for the highest ever Test score of 400 not out against England in 2004.
