The star all-rounder has copped a 20% fine of his match fee and one demerit point for breaching Article 2.4 of the Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel when he failed to follow the umpire's instructions.
The incident occurred in the Indian innings as Pollard called for a substitute onto the field despite the 32-year-old being repeatedly informed by the umpires that a request must be made for a substitute in order to be followed through.
However, Pollard refused to comply with the umpire's demands despite being advised to wait until the end of the next over.

Pollard denied committing the offence due to which the matter was finally resolved following a formal hearing held by match referee Jeff Crowe and penalties were imposed on the right-handed batsman.
Pollard, making his comeback to international cricket after several months, could manage just eight runs in India's 22-run win in the second T20I before rain spoiled further progress.
