Kieron Pollard will take over the leadership baton from Dwayne Bravo for Trinbago Knight Riders after the all-rounder suffered a severe finger injury which could potentially rule him out of the forthcoming Caribbean Premier League season.
Pollard, who has in the past represented Barbados Tridents and St Lucia Stars in the CPL, was picked as the marquee player for Trinbago for the seventh edition of the tournament.
"It's a very unfortunate injury, and Dwayne Bravo will be greatly missed," Venky Mysore, director of Trinbago franchise, said.
"However, we are fortunate to have someone of the caliber of Kieron Pollard to take over the reins from Bravo. His leadership abilities are well proven and, like Bravo, will bring a very aggressive style as captain in TKR's quest for a third championship in a row."

This year, a couple of new guys like me have been given the opportunity to be a part of this great franchise. We are looking forward to putting in our best and lifting the title once again in 2019."
