Daniel Christian will be joining Barbados Tridents for the remainder of the ongoing 2019 Caribbean Premier League in place of Asif Ali.
Ali will no longer be available, though he failed to get a game this season, owing to domestic commitments as he is part of Northern's First XI side for the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.
The vastly experienced all-rounder Christian has appeared in 293 games in the shortest format, managing to ply his trade in different franchise-based competitions.
He has played in the T20 Blast, IPL, PSL, BBL, and previously represented defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders in the 2017 edition of the CPL.
Christian, who made his T20I debut in 2010, has an impressive tally of 4,464 runs to his name at a healthy strike rate of 138.59 while he has picked up 221 wickets including two five-wicket hauls in T20 cricket.
The Tridents, currently languishing at fifth place in the six-team table, will be bolstered by the inclusion of the 36-year-old to their line-up.
They will play their next game against St Lucia Zouks on Saturday at Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium.
