Sindh edged Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by eight runs as they bagged their second win in the ongoing National T20 Cup.
Put in to bat first, Sindh accumulated 176 for the loss of six wickets with Ahsan Ali stealing the show at the top of the order.
The opening batsman scored 64 off 37 balls as Sindh were off to a great start in the first ten overs.
Ahsan Ali was supported by Khurram Manzoor, who made 35 off 32, before getting caught off Umer Khan’s bowling.
The rest of their batsmen couldn’t quite muster a big score, as Sindh finished their 20 overs with 176 on the board.
In reply, KPK were rattled in the powerplay with back to back wickets for Mohammad Hasnain. Israrullah soon followed, caught by skipper Asad Shafiq off Anwar Ali’s bowling.
But the pair of Rizwan and Iftikhar steadied the run-chase with a 52-run partnership.
Iftikhar was dismissed by Ahsan Jameel but Rizwan hung on the other end, scoring a 43-ball 70 which consisted of six fours and two sixes.
With 20 required off the last over, Rizwan was dismissed on the third ball of the over as KPK felt short of the total.
Ahsan Ali was declared man of the match for his blistering innings.
