Babar Azam has climbed up three spots to become sixth-ranked batsman in the ICC Test Rankings.
He had vaulted into the elite list for the first time following his hundred on the final day of Rawalpindi Test. However, another stellar performance (60 and 100*) in the Karachi Test has now propelled him to sixth spot.
He is the only batsman alongside Virat Kohli to be a part of top 10 batsmen across all formats of the game.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli retained his top spot in the Test rankings with 928 points, while the Australian counterpart, Steve Smith, is placed on second number (911 points) following an unlikely dip in his performances against Pakistan and New Zealand.
Ajinkya Rahane has dropped one place and is seventh-ranked batsman in the list.
