India have been docked 40 percent of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate during the fourth T20I against New Zealand.
According to the ICC, match referee Chris Broad imposed the sanction on the Kohli-led side, which was found to be two overs short of the target despite taking the time allowances into consideration.
The game went into the Super Over yet another time, as the home side ended up on the losing side in a five-match series.
Virat Kohli accepted the charges presented, hence, there was no need for a formal hearing. The final game of the series will be played on February 2 at the Bay Oval.
