Mitchell McClenaghan, Dawid Malan among others have been drafted as replacement players for the upcoming Pakistan Super League.
Dawid Malan has been roped in place of Rassie van der Dussen, who will be performing national duties for the Australia series. Somerset all-rounder Lewis Gregory has been drafted in place of Dwaine Pretorious, who is also likely to be away for Australia series.
Karachi Kings were forced to make two changes as Liam Plunkett was ruled out of entire tournament with injury whereas Dan Lawrence will be away with England Lions duties. New Zealand quick Mitch McClenaghan and batsman Chadwick Walton will replace the duo respectively.
As West Indies will be touring Sri Lanka for a limited-overs series, their skipper, Kieron Pollard will be joining Peshawar Zalmi after the conclusion of second T20I on March 7. Till that period, his place will be covered by Carlos Brathwaite, who played a vital role in West Indies’ World T20 campaign in 2016.
For a similar reason, Pollard’s international teammate Fabian Allen will join Multan Sultans’ campaign in the middle of tournament. Allen’s place will be covered by Wayne Madsen. Madsen has also represented Peshawar Zalmi in the past.
Quetta Gladiators have snapped Zahid Mehmood, who represented Southern Punjab in Quaid-e-Azam trophy, till March 7 as a replacement for Keemo Paul. Paul is likely to be away with international duties for West Indies.
As Lendl Simmons decided to opt out of the competition citing personal reasons, Dane Vilas has been drafted by Lahore Qalandars – covering up for the whole competition. Vilas has played six Tests and one ODI for South Africa.
